Here is an old photo of the Guthrie family taken at Kelloholm ca. 1964 before moving to New Cumnock in March 1965. Bobby Guthrie (born in 1925) grew up in Connel Park, where he was known as Bobby Neil (after his adoptive family). He was a miner at Fauldhead and was a huge Glenafton Athletic fan.

Bobby passed away in 1968 and Mary later married Jim Morrison, another former resident of Connel Park. Although fae Auchinleck wee Mary was passionate about New Cumnock and when she passed away the Mary Morrison Memorial Garden at the New Cumnock Mural was created in recognition of her contribution to the community. Jim still stays in Dalhanna Drive and enjoys a Glens game too now and again. Bobby (junior) is lucky to have the best 4 sisters any brother could ask for.
