This picture was taken up the Afton at the miller's sluice [the "Sloosh"] about 1944. In it are mothers and children from Holm Road and Glebe Street including John's mother Nan Walker, nee Stewart, and her other children Peggy, Jenny, Nan and Andrew. Also there are Mrs and Vera Wyllie, Mrs and Francis Brown, Margaret Gallagher and May Smith

This one was taken at Dalgig farm during extensive alterations shortly after the war when it was bought by a millionaire shipping magnate. Left to right are John Walker, Wull MacDonald [Wee Feegie] and our employer William Mills, then the chauffeur [whose racing tips were well known and widely followed]. The other 2 are not known
John Ferguson's family at the golden wedding of William at the Afton Hotel. Hugh [Peders], James [Pim], John [Gordon], Robert [Rab], William [Fessie], Elizabeth [Liz] Orr, Ellen [Nell]Armstrong, and Janet [Jen] Walker.

Andrew Stewart (Glens trainer) at a Miners Convalescent Home. His is the fourth bunnet from the left.
Agnes Tennant nee Sloan with daughters Janet [Jessie] Steele, Isabel [Tibby] McMurdo, Margaret [Peg] Stewart, Mary [Molly] Barbour and Agnes [Nanny] Stewart.
John Ferguson who bred poultry [Scots Greys] on the site across from what is now the Working Men's Club. His son James [Pim] carried on the tradition on the same site.

Possibly "Luggie" Walker heplayed fulltime professional football, who for is not known. He lived at Castlemains farm in the 40's.
The boy is"Wee Davie" who had a condition that restricted his growth
